Kylo allows the creation of categories to organize Kylo feeds. Currently, categories can only be created at one level. This one level of categories created in Kylo, corresponds to processor groups in the root level canvas of NiFi.
A Think Big/Teradata customer would like the ability to create hierarchies of categories and subcategories to better organize their feeds. From a business perspective, this would allow them to more effectively and efficiently manage large numbers of applications across multiple departments without an excessive number of feeds per department.
In addition, the customer would like the ability to view operations data in Kylo, organized by the hierarchical categories.
Finally, the customer would also like the capability to convert existing flat categories to the new hierarchies categories without loss of data or manual intervention.
