Jagrut,
I think i fixed this last week.
Can you verify that a user with Read only access doesnt not see the "Fail" or "Abandon" buttons in ops manager?

A user with read-only access to the feed is still able to see the 'FAIL' button, but clicking it displays an error message stating invalid action not allowed. (An unexpected error occurred Not authorized to perform the action: Administer Operations).

The API call and result:
http://localhost:8400/proxy/v1/jobs/4/fail

Result:
{"status":"error","message":"HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed","developerMessage":null,"url":"/api/v1/jobs/4/fail","validationError":false,"properties":{},"validationErrors":[]}

So, backend is working properly, just UI needs to be fixed to not show the buttons.

Fixed the UI issue. When creating a group, you can choose to give only 'Access Operational Information' permission and leave out the 'Administer Operations' permission. This will ensure that all users in that group cannot FAIL/ABANDON jobs.

Take a look at the attached screenshot of the configuration: FunctionalPermission.png
