The Kylo AMI is outdated and not being published to all regions on AWS

Description

Strangely, the Kylo AMI is only available in some regions. When it is available in a region, it may be outdated as well. For some reason only Oregon has the most updated AMI available.

My suggestion is to improve the Kylo release mechanism so that you have the following:

  • More "stable" releases should be made available too, perhaps n+2, I.E:
    Kylo-8.2-AMI
    Kylo-8.1-AMI
    Kylo-7.3-AMI

(older versions of the AMI should be automatically deleted as part of the release process)

AMI should be made available to all regions/availability zones in AWS. It is currently available in current regions:

  • US East North Virginia (only 0.7.1 available here only)

  • US West Oregon (0.7.0, 0.7.1, 0.8.0.1 available here)

  • EU Ireland (0.7.1 available here only)

  • APAC Seoul Korea (0.7.1 available here only)

  • APAC Mumbai India (0.7.1 available here only)

And missing from the following:

  • EU Frankfurt (Germany)

  • US EAST Ohio (USA)

  • US West N. California (USA)

  • EU London (UK)

  • Singapore (APAC)

  • Sydney (APAC)

  • Tokyo Japan (APAC)

  • São Paulo (South American, Brazil)

The more available and up-to-date the AMI is, the more potential customers we could have...
